Jennafer M. Glaesemann, D.V.M., M.B.A. – Veterinarian and Owner

Doctor Glaesemann hails from the southeastern Nebraska, growing up on a family dairy farm northeast of Fairbury. She was active in 4-H and FFA growing up, showing dairy cattle, poultry, rabbits, and sheep. She earned her bachelor degrees in Animal Science and Veterinary Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and was in the inaugural class of the UNL-ISU cooperative Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine, ultimately graduating from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. After veterinary school, Dr. Glaesemann returned to Nebraska to practice mixed animal medicine, so she see’s a little bit of everything as a farm animal and companion animal general practitioner! Dr. Glaesemann purchased the Blue Valley Veterinary Clinic in Beatrice in 2012 and the Pickrell Veterinary Clinic in Pickrell in 2013 and since then has been serving the animals (and their owners) of Gage County and greater southeastern Nebraska through both clinics. Dr. Glaesemann continues her involvement advocating for animal care and the veterinary profession through national committee involvement, such as the Committee on the Human-Animal Bond (AVMA), Animal Welfare Committee (AABP), and Rural Practice Sustainability Committee (AABP). Through these efforts, Dr. Glaesemann was selected as one of the top 10 early career veterinary leaders for the second class of the national AVMA Future Leaders Program (2012-2013). She has also been recognized as the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association Young Veterinarian of the Year, University of Nebraska-Nebraska Alumni Association Early Achieve Award, University of Nebraska-Nebraska Alumni Association Master Alumni Award, and Center for Rural Affairs Entrepreneur of the Year. Dr. Glaesemann also earned her Masters in Business Administration degree from Chadron State College in 2016. She is an enthusiastic supporter of 4-H and FFA youth, often helping out with her family’s sheep projects. In her downtime, Dr. Glaesemann enjoys spending time with her shelter rescue, Karla, a sweet pitbull, and her registered Border Collies and Quarter Horses.

Emily Haxby – Surgery Assistant

Emily is from Clatonia, where she grew up helping her family with their primarily crop farming operation. She also helped her grandfather with his beef cattle. Now that Emily and her husband, Justin, have a farm of their own (in addition to helping with the larger family farm), they have diversified into beef cattle, registered Boer Goats (and the occasional sheep), poultry, small share pepper production, and growing two children. Emily graduated with a bachelor degree in Animal Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has had experiences with other veterinary clinics previously and started working with Dr. Glaesemann through her Blue Valley Veterinary Clinic in 2013. In 2016 she transitioned to surgery assistant here and has expertly handled the care and comfort of thousands of pets through our busy surgery schedule.

Andrea Adams – Client Care/Receptionist

Andrea is a new addition to our team in 2018! Originally from Nebraska, Andrea lived in Kansas before returning to make Nebraska her home. Andrea has two dogs in addition to her growing family. Andrea is excited to learn more about the clinic, caring for our patients, and meeting our clients!

Angela Glaesemann – Client Care/Receptionist (“office mom”)

Angela Glaesemann, sometimes referred to a “Momma G”, is Dr. Glaesemann’s mother. She cares for everyone at the clinic by helping out where needed, whether it’s picking up front desk duties if someone is ill or needs to attend a family function to running errands around town. She goes the extra mile to take care of clients, too, by coordinating medication mail outs as well as client correspondence. Though she grew up on a mixed beef/grain operation and raised her own kids on a family dairy farm, Angela’s inspiration to help out at the clinic doesn’t come from her agricultural experience but rather her desire to serve others and help everyone in whatever capacity she can.
